昔、鳥羽水族館で初めて生きているオウム貝を見た時は、普段は見られないという感動から、しばらく水槽の前に貼付いていたのを思い出します。吸い込んだ水をロート（出水孔）から吹き出して進む泳ぎ方は、ぎこちないけどコミカルでかわいらしい。でも最近は、ペットショップにもいるもんなあ。

When I saw a living pearly nautilus for the first time, I couldn't move away from the showcase for a long time because of a feeling it would be very difficult to have another chance to see it. When they swim they suck water into the oral cavity and then spurt it out. That movement was very comical and pretty. However we can now find them in pet shops...
