[Shock Absorber]
アフリカ南西部のカラハリ砂漠に生息するオリックス（ゲムズボック）。
オス同士は角を激突させて戦う。丈夫で鋭い角は鉄板をも 貫くが、自身への衝撃もまたはかりしれない。
近年では、その衝撃を緩和させる機能を持つ個体が見られ るようになっている。
そのこともあり、最近特に衝突の激しさが増しているよう だが、これもさらなる進化を意味するのだろうか・・・ |

[Shock Absorber]
Oryx lives in the Karahari desert, Southeast Africa. The males fight
each other by hitting with their horns which are so sharp they can
pierce the steel plate. The shock by the attack is immeasurable.
But a new type has a shock absorbing system. Because of it, the
attack seems to be getting harder these days. Does it signify the
further evolution? |
