シマウマの縞模様は、群れになると一つの大きなものに見えて敵から身を守るのに役立っているそうだ。 ぢゃあ、群れから離れたがる独立心旺盛な個体がいたとしたら彼はどうするのだろうか？ たぶん自分自身の模様を塗り替えるのだろう。背負った最新のエアブラシを使い、『今日はまわりに溶け込むように迷彩 色』 、『明日は、ドレスアップで真赤に！』なんてね。

The stripe pattern of the Grant's Zebra helps to protect them from enemies. In a group it makes them look like something big. If there was an individual that wanted to be apart from the group, what would it do? Maybe it would change its pattern by itself, depending on the situation, by coloring itself with an air-brush. Today, camouflaged to be hidden. Tomorrow, red to dress up!
